Overview

SATA 3.0 compatible with transfer rates up to 6 Gbps! Designed to replace the SCSI parallel interface with a much faster, more flexible, 6 Gbps serial interface while maintaining the robust nature of the SCSI command set. The flexibility of SAS facilitates many system-level configurations such as workstations, blade servers, external storage arrays, SAS expanders, host bus adapters (HBAs) and RAID controllers.
