FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cables To Go expands channel team to drive partner growth
Experienced national key account managers will provide resellers with added business development support and ensure the benefit from new partner programme
Telford, 18 November 2009 - Cables To Go, a leading provider of high-performance cabling and connectivity solutions, is preparing a series of new product launches that will significantly expand the company's portfolio in the UK and extend its reach into more categories of the market.
Over the next two months, the company will be releasing an Ultra Wideband Wireless VGA and Audio hub that enables VGA video and stereo audio signals to be transmitted across distances of up to 10 meters, and DisplayPort adapters and cables for use in audiovisual and digital signage applications and with Apple equipment.
Cables to Go is also planning to unveil a whole range of additions to its popular RapidRun modular cabling system that are specially designed for the UK market and in particular, designed to meet the needs of education. The company will have a significant presence at the BETT Show in London on 13 - 16 January 2010.
In addition, Cables to Go is planning to release a series of products that extend VGA and audio signals over extended distances over standard Category5e networking cables, USB and serial DVI adapters and further additions to its LAN connector and RapidRun families.
These additions will significantly expand the markets in which Cables to Go has a competitive offering and provide resellers with additional opportunities, says Justin Hulls, UK Sales Director for Cable to Go. "These new product introductions will greatly increase our product range and our presence in the UK market. We'll also be stepping up our efforts to win new business with our partners. The additions to RapidRun and introduction of Wireless VGA solutions address specific customer needs in the education and commercial markets, and we will be working with our distributor and reseller partners to drive opportunities in both sectors."
These products have already enjoyed significant success in North America, Hulls notes, helping resellers to add value for customers and generate additional margin. "These are not speculative launches -Wireless VGA products have proved to be a tremendously versatile product for audiovisual and digital signage set-ups while RapidRun is hugely successful in the US education sector. Many networking integrators here in the UK have already adopted it as their standard offering wherever they need to deploy cables quickly, cleanly and with maximum efficiency and minimal cost. These characteristics are exactly what buyers in education are looking for, so we expect the expanded range to be very popular in that sector. Quite simply, it works and it delivers great value. We are very excited about the prospects for this and all the new product introductions in the UK."
Cables to Go is eager to recruit more resellers to target education and other specific sectors of the market, Hulls adds. "We have put down a solid foundation in the UK and established some excellent relationships. It's now time to step that up a gear. We have an experienced account management team in place and a new partner programme just about ready to go. We're particularly keen at this stage in our development to talk to audiovisual and networking integrators that have a particular focus on education and other vertical markets within the public and private sectors. We know that we have to make some of the running in these markets and we will work with our partners to identify opportunities and secure profitable sales."
Journalists who are interested in requesting evaluation units of any of the new products or a personal demonstration from Cables to Go's UK staff, should contact Justin Hulls on 0800 328 2916 or email jhulls@cablestogo.co.uk.
USA-based Cables To Go formally launched its UK operations in May this year at Channel Expo. Working through distribution partners Entatech and Maverick, it has quickly established a community of networking and audiovisual specialist partners in the UK. Hulls was appointed to run the sales operations in May this year and with the addition of two key account managers, the company now has a team of 11 on the ground in the UK, operating out of offices in Telford.
